How to Write Cover Letter?

Writing covering letters may be challenging. When replying to an advertising, general advise would be to:-

i. Follow business letter convention by placing your address in the top right and the recipient's address in the space to the left.

ii. Use names wherever possible (you can phone the organisation to ask who to address your Covering Letter to).

iii. Mention any minimal educational or experience qualifications listed in the job posting in your covering letter if you meet them.

iv. Instead of stating how the firm can help you, focus on how you can help the company and provide an instance of when you have in the past.

v. Keep the cover letter brief; employers frequently lack the time to read letters longer than one side of A4.

vi. The tone of the covering letter should be kind, personable, and professional.

vii. Try to always send a "brief" covering letter that just includes information about your expertise, present location, contact information (address and phone number), current employer, and the technology you are using. Limit the length of your cover letters. Nobody at HR will read your lengthy letters.

viii. Keep the resume and cover letter to a reasonable length. Make it brief and pleasant. It should not exceed three pages (and up to a maximum of 4). The HR representative will scarcely have time to scan your resume. He won't have time to read a résumé that reads like a tale. Therefore, be succinct, concise, and to the point.

ix. When addressing key topics, utilise bullets.
